Invited guests include representatives from SUNY System Administration, CUNY, and other relevant organizations.<\/p>\n<h2>The Mission of DOODLE is to:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>provide its members with an independent, LMS neutral forum to identify and discuss concerns and interests across colleges;<\/li>\n<li>collect and share information about college-based practices and policies;<\/li>\n<li>conduct and disseminate cross-college research on distance learning issues;<\/li>\n<li>promote equity in representation with regard to race, gender, and campus classification among other SUNY groups and offices dealing with online and distance learning.<\/li>\n<li>represent and promote its members\u2019 interests and concerns in other regional, state, and national venues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Interest Areas:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Strategic partnerships (e.g. articulation agreements, shared degrees, intercampus exchange, shared resources \u2013 such as a digital repository)<\/li>\n<li>Best practices for DL leadership<\/li>\n<li>Budgets<\/li>\n<li>Business plans and practices<\/li>\n<li>Course\/program assessment<\/li>\n<li>Educating college stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Faculty development<\/li>\n<li>Governance &amp; DL (college structures)<\/li>\n<li>Learning Management Systems (LMS)<\/li>\n<li>Marketing and Public relations<\/li>\n<li>Policies &amp; procedures (e.g. staffing, faculty issues, personnel, enrollment policies, student services, Intellectual property)<\/li>\n<li>Retention, persistence, and successful completion rates<\/li>\n<li>Strategic planning<\/li>\n<li>System-wide issues<\/li>\n<li>Emerging technologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Funding &amp; Support:<\/h2>\n<p>We are\u00a0funded through dues paid by our members.\u00a0 The dues is used to support annual meetings, research, and professional development of members.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-content\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"entry-content\">LMS Neutrality:<\/h2>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">DOODLE will not advocate for any particular system or product or actively promote one system over another.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Directors of Online\/Distance Learning Environments (DOODLE) Membership: DOODLE is an association of individuals with administrative responsibilities for online and distance learning (ODL) programs on SUNY campuses.
